A Few Things You Might Wonder
How can I donate a purse or its contents?
You can contribute by sending a gently-used purse or a collection of new toiletries and cosmetics directly to us. Items like toothpaste, toothbrushes, new lipstick, new mascara, face wash, body wash, lotion, etc. are appropriate.
What happens to my donation once it's received?
Your donation will be thoughtfully curated into purses filled with essential items, which we then deliver to local domestic violence shelters. Each purse is a beacon of support, aimed at empowering women during their healing journey.
Are there specific items that are most needed?
Yes, we appreciate donations of items such as shampoos, conditioners, deodorants, and personal hygiene products. You can refer to our detailed list of desired items on our site to ensure your contributions are impactful. For cosmetics we due prefer "neutral" items such as lipstick, mascara, eyeliner, blush and lip liner. We allow individuals to pick a purse of their choice which limits our ability to ensure that items such as foundation/concealer will match the skin tone of the woman choosing the purse. Therefore we ask that foundation/concealer not be donated as it will not be included in any purses.
Is there a minimum donation amount?
There is no minimum—every contribution, whether it be a purse or individual items, makes a meaningful difference. We welcome each gesture of support with gratitude.
Can I receive a tax deduction for my donation?
As a registered non-profit, donations may be tax-deductible. We recommend consulting with a tax professional for guidance based on your specific circumstances.
